Cloverdale Rodeo

We went to the Cloverdale Rodeo during the long weekend, and we all had so much fun! Madelyne is really into the rodeo part, I think Danielle loved the rides and Riley just loved everything. Now that Riley is so much older we enjoy these events so much more because we are not worried so much about the baby's sleep and feeding schedule. Now if the kids don't get a nap it's no big deal, although Riley fell asleep just as the Rodeo started, he was sprawled out over both Steve and my lap, it got quite uncomfortable after a short while. I will have to find the picture of that and share it later.
Madelyne is somewhat trying to decide which area she would like to take her horseback riding, whether it be jumps, lesiure, barrel racing, right now I think she would be a perfect Rodeo Princess.
What do you think?

Danielle would also make a great rodeo princess, but she would have to do it underwater because sometimes I think she would rather stay under the water when she is swimming than come up for air!
Riley decided he wanted to ride the sheep next year. We will have to practice on our friends sheep until then.
Can anyone guess who this guy is? We were lucky to get a picture of this guy, I really love my new zoom lens!!!!! I feel like the paparazzi!
It's Steven Seagal, look at how huge he is!

We actually went on some rides this year, well we let the kids go on some and I had to take Riley down the large slide. I'm so proud of Madelyne, she is working with her fear of scary things like rides, I didn't think that she would want to go on something that lifts her in the air, but she went and I can see that she loved it. Danielle has always been my brave one who would try anything. Riley is also quite cautious, but not about everything, and is easily swayed to try it!
Doesn't it look like this cow is wanting Danielle to help her escape, "Please, Please get me outta here, I don't want any more people to see me this way!!!" I will have some creations to post tommorrow, so come back to see!

Kids Birthday Cards

Here a couple birthday cards that I did a little while ago. I thought that I would build up my stock of birthday and thank you cards so that I could just grab and go, but I only ended up getting a few done and still I scramble to make one when I need it. These cards all are using the All Wrapped Up set from SU, as well as SU paper. I also put googlie eyes on all of them.

Have a great day!!!

Yee Haw!

I just started using PinkCat Stamps this month, I couldn't resist when I saw the Billy set, I love him as a little cowboy best of all. This care would make a great birthday card for any little boy. I colored him in using copic markers. I have to say that I love using them as much as my SU markers, maybe even a little more because they don't show lines as much. The paper is all SU, and I used crystal effects on the rope and in the middle of the circle for some dimension.

Hope you have a great day!

Ukraine

I am going to the Ukraine this coming October, for 2 weeks. There are 12 of us going from our church, and we are working with http://www.hungryforlife.org/ . What am I going to do there? Well it isn't completely determined, but mostly working with orphans and widows. Handing out clothes, food, having banquets for the widows, listening and loving all of them. I am so excited because 1. this will be my first international trip besides the US. 2. I have always wanted to work with orphans, I just hate thinking of kids being abandoned, left without parents. In . You will hear more about this trip over the next 8 months.

Something that we are doing is raising money so that our time there is as effective as possible. Something that I am doing is selling some of the things that I make, so keep watching my blog to see what I have for sale. 100% of the money that I earn will go towards this trip, I will not be covering my costs of making the items. If you are interested in purchasing anything that I have to offer, please leave a comment with an email address, and which item (use the item #) you would like. Shipping is included in the price as well. Here are a few bracelets that I have already made, I am selling them for $10 each.

For Family and Friends

I thought I would put some pictures up of the kids for those who haven't seen them for awhile. Here are the kids when we went on a Geo Cache adventure.

Here is Madelyne at the pool during Danielle's swimming lessons. She loves playing around in the water now.
This is the Madee and Riley on the quad after our ride.

We just finished the marble works that Danielle got from Grandpa and Grandma Roxanne for Christmas.

Here is a picture of Riley at preschool during the circus theme.
AWWWW! so sweet, I love this picture of these two.

Danielle on her special friend day, she brought in her marble works to show here friends. Everyone loved it, and she was quite pleased to be able to demonstrate it for her friends.

That all for now!

Really I am back

I guess the last post was incorrect, but I am ready now to get going on this blog. So many things have happened and are happening that I would love to share.

I don't usually scrapbook most things in order, and usually a few months later than the actual event. For example I will start with a page I did for Riley's birthday which was in December and I only scrapbooked it last weekend.

Check out Jaxon on the right of Riley, his chubby cheeks are puffed up to help blow out the candle. Priceless!

Another page I did last weekend is this one;

I took this picture from our driveway in April, I think that this is the best sunset that I have seen from where we are living now. In Saskatchewan you see sunsets like this more often, but here in BC the mountains seem to get in the way.

I'll have more to show you soon!
