Broken :(

Here is some pictures of my broken little boy. As you can see he doesn't seem to have a problem with it. He is such a content little boy that he just dealt with the fact he can't do what he normally does. He did have rough time with it at first when we brought him home, he wanted me to put him down so he could walk. In a couple weeks I know he will walk but he needs to keep weight off of his leg for now.

This pictures shows his traction that he was in for a week. He would roll around which the nurses and doctors were amazed at becasue normally patients are in to much pain and discomfort to be lying on thier stomache but not my tough guy, he has a very high tolerance for pain (unlike his mother)
Here he is reading up on his hospital stay, a book that Jordan and Jessica brought for him.
This was how he normally was in the hospital, happy, content and wasn't bothered by not being able to get out of his crib and play. As long as he had his cars and his shows he would just play. I managed to read 3 Karen Kingsbury books while I stayed with him.
This is the cast that he will be wearing for the next 6-8 weeks this summer. Again he doesn't look to bothered by it and is on his stomache again, it didn't take him long to figure out how to roll over.
We are at home here and he doesn't look to hard done by does he!?!
We will have to be creative this summer and find lots of fun things to do here at home with him and the girls.
If you have any ideas for me please leave a comment.
I also want to thank all of our visitors in the hospital, it really helped pass the time and made both of us feel special. The cars and trucks and book for Riley helped pass the time away. Some ladies in our care group are making us meals which is above and beyond what I ever imagined. Thank you so much.
I am hoping to get back to my scrapbooking, and I need to write a bunch of thank you cards! So I hope to post more soon!

I've not forgotten

I have not forgotten to write but I've been hung up in the hospital with my little guy. He has broken his femur bone and has been in traction for a week and today he will get his cast, I am taking a quick sanity break thanks to my MIL. I will post a couple pictures tommorrow when we come home of how he is doing.
Keep us in your thoughts and prayers
Thanks

Yarrow Days

I thought I would share a couple pictures from the parade and Yarrow Days. (Mostly for my family, and to show off my cute kids!)

Madee and Riley give the FireTruck a wave. The other little girl is a friend from school. Riley of course loved the firetrucks and police cars, Madee loved the horses and Danielle loved the candy!!

I liked this Noah's Ark that a local church group made. We are getting ready for the possible flooding in the Fraser Valley! What a good idea!
This is a cute picture of Riley and the Bear that I bought to support Children's Hostpital. Riley just wanted to cuddle the bear for awhile.
Danielle wanted to cuddle this bearded dragon that was at the petting zoo, what a thing to cuddle!

We had lots of fun and look forward to Yarrow Days each year!!!

Dixie Girl

Last nite got a chance to scrapbook some more, I had developed some pictures to enter for the new Blueprint Layout book. So this is thier layout, I was to late to enter, but I still wanted to make my page. The background cs is SU Chocolate chip and the alpha set is my favorite Whimsical Alpha, the rest of the supplies I pulled out of my stash. The flourishes are from CTMH.
I usually don't scrapbook specifically one of our pets but Dixie has been on my mind lately and I thought that I would use some pics of her when we first brought her home. I guess I will have to pull some pics together of Snoopi and Luci.
Living in the Fraser Valley has been quite eventful lately with the flood watch happening. Fortunatly we live on the mountain but most of our friends and our shop are in the flood plain. Debbie has brought over her pics and scrapbooks for safe keeping in case it floods over the weekend. Anyone else want to bring thier scrapbook stuff over I promise to take good care of it! I'll try not to use it all up! LOL!
They say the river should not reach as high as they first expected, but I'm not convinced on their techniques of determining this. We are prepared for power and gas outages and to have company if needed!
Anyways off to clean!

Three

Here is a page I did for the same family album as my last post. This one is of my adorable children, this will be a two page spread but I have not figured out how I am going to do the second page. I used all SU patterned paper from Playhouse. The chipboard is misc from MM and SU. (I love chipboard!!!)

I found the layout in a magazine, of course now that I want to find which mag it was I can't find it. I love the little saying that I also got from the magazine (I will have to edit this when I find it!)

Three beautiful children to adore...

Three beautiful souls to guide...

Three beautiful reasons to smile each day.

My three children can be a handful sometimes, but there isn't a moment that I don't feel blessed by them.

Today I go and pick up Dixie from the pet hostpital, yes she has been there for a whole week, but now she is well enough to come home! Yah! We have missed her so much, so has Snoopi.

Have a great day!

Family

This is a layout of our family to start an album for our family pictures taken 2 summers ago (I'm really up to date aren't I) I used the AT HOME Simply Scrappin Kit for the word Family and the patterned paper! I used the set Doodle this, my favorite set, I preordered the Baroque Motifs from the preview cattie because I love swirls, they add a neat element to a page.
Have a great weekend! I am going out to enjoy the sunshine and Yarrow Days!

Last Scrap Club

Last nite was the last of my Stampers Clubs. I had 2 going, one for cards and one for scrapbooking. Last nite was our scrapbooking club. These are the 6x6 layouts that we did. Normally we only do 2 pages, usually not a double layout like the camping one, but this time I wanted to do a double layout as well as a single (to finish of our book!).
The camping layout is using Happy Camper as well as tidy alpha (I forgot it was retired, but they didn't mind). We also used the jumbo wheel Nature Hike. We heat embossed the bear with Chocolate Chip Craft ink and clear embossing powder. It is a pretty simple project, somehow I managed to line up the wheel punch on both pages, I wheeled them separately but they still lined up! I sometimes impress myself.

The second layout I got fromhttp://cis-stylish-sketches.blogspot.com/ This is a great site for sketches! They were using it for a 12x12, but I adapted it and made it into a 6x6 page. We cut out the flower and put it through my Xyron machine then put Dazzling Diamonds on it then curled it under to give it some dimension. There are so many ideas out there that you don't think on your own, that is what is nice about blogs and idea sites like SCS, you can get simple yet beautiful ideas on how to use what you have on hand!

Next year for my club, I think that I will do a card, 3D item, and a 6x6 scrap page (for the gals from my scrap club this year!) I think that I will only have one club rather than 2 and try to do more classes and get people using what they have purchased!

Update on my baby Dixie (german shepard pup) She is still in hostpital, but I saw her today and she looks like a different dog from when I saw her last. She was bouncing around, chasing the vet's cat, where last time she barely got up, her eyes were sunken in, and she looked so sad. She has to stay in the hostpital one more nite (crossing my fingers), all of this from eating something wrong, I have no idea what it is even, nothing looks that disturbed in our yard, and we don't have poisons here because of the kids. Could have been a stick or something Luci (the cat) dragged home! Anyways, she is on the mend!

Have a great day!

Happy Scrappin
