I had my fancy camera and a tripod (I was the official photographer for the wedding) I set up the kids first and got such a good picture and it only took a few clicks and there it was!!!<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5227713060206833938" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgy47K8-qufqc1c7Lvh2l23_poYgJTwlSCuNpg9ZPyRFXLAQldzjkqNfn0LnEdXcjh_aBut3qxLVfkKULUsX8h9dlgykuzVQmi-0ZRgpOgqpQiMbRsyA19Oeeev-LqJAlL_o57xHHOFRbY/s320/Kids+2.jpg" border="0" /> Then I set the timer and had all of us in there, Steve gave the cheesiest "CHEESE" smile, so I had to try again, and it turned out, Steve still looks a little cheesy but not as bad.<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5227713066939854306" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivvg5xu9KPxkIg0RPE4oHn4By6Osg7K31QepOY-mOaWEHizZEYGz66AuStzRlnAX9ZNGHGZYGoM78Hccd0Fgkf92IFUURf5KTycEJNfe2i3vmaZNG5WC01rukGdWUUOeqQd0kN3TlRhIE/s320/Family+Pic+2.jpg" border="0" /> I like this picture because it captures who Madee is. You can dress her up but it doesn't stop her from being herself. She likes to find things, alive things, things that crawl, creep, jump, slither any thing that most people would stay away from! I love that about her!<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5227716565998418770" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMl5s5IHdLRPzP9RLZOLsBWVaGpDgYzwM2OSDMLaT3NQlQhbJA1__O339Sd0p9tLnW08QYkbFrLCnjxYshqY31Vb5GvWFFov023QIJS2vI0VNTDAI_9Gh0xf7gU7sn3pekTvBgTZpIkRE/s320/Philiip+and+Melinda%27s+Wedding+172.jpg" border="0" /> <div>Here is one of my favorite pictures of the couple that got married.</div><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5227716557394121394" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcDa50PhRAUG1VEIeEYiEGnRcYVF8XWVZ2pssKRzAntNloSLH9rEaXgRl9749xrGpElM_X-SbIQypK33WYZ5tFI9ojF53vUIvd0U0X_cibIxwBndQEqH1HqsaGmmey_vJUvRO0fov0XXA/s320/Cute+Couple.jpg" border="0" /></div><div>And this one turned out so cool! <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5227716570514060898" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgMRZrSeRgXoh-cmlkaa27D5ijhqrWyH5HPiOCm7bpjiN5F5wAEFEOW-5G-JRtdPns2hDBdDpUxUZBZ1xSwHLiLLzK-TztuIcjR8H1HTYgKOs8jtt4YEb2K6R-xm4Q8uipeJQlkyHeYi0/s320/Philiip+and+Melinda%27s+Wedding+195.jpg" border="0" /></div><div>Well that's all for now, I will have more creations soon to show you!</div><div>Carrie</div></div>Carrie Dyckhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13207383565820644429noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8377562079417479609.post-81022095513463718812008-07-17T13:39:00.000-07:002008-07-17T13:51:48.950-07:00Sock Monkey<div><div><div>I am playing with my new preview set from SU, the Sock Monkey, he is pretty cute, I think I will have to make a real sock monkey for the kids soon! Anyways I have a few leftover canvas bags from VBS and I thought I could alter them a bit and sell them at our craft table at Cultus Lake. We are fundraising for our trip to Ukraine in October. I thought that I would make a cute bag for a little girl with the sock monkey on it. My daughters are dragging around the bags that they made at VBS, so I think that any little girl would love to have one.<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5224087383038027442" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhb9pq4ZlWkxr_vrba3lgQD9RhEzXRRlOy3lGjUarpiYqOeWbZXK5ceUjRb0UjvSV8A0EXUlQ0XhCGKhTzqMTyBZzxdCkfHCndgi6r2WoNvxEEj2zb2pPa-aP9DANzMq3-hdwmYDQNtnOY/s400/JULY+08+219.jpg" border="0" /></div><div></div><div>I used Brilliance ink to stamp them out, then copics to color and then heat set it with my iron. </div><div></div><div>The bags came from the good ol' dollar store. I love that place for the most part, when I find great things to alter, for super cheap!</div><br /><div>Well that's all for now until I make some more bags! </div><div>Carrie</div></div></div>Carrie Dyckhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13207383565820644429noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8377562079417479609.post-72291106121338213292008-06-01T08:37:00.000-07:002008-06-01T08:46:44.819-07:00May Long Weekend<div>I went scrapbooking with a few of my friends on the saturday of the May long weekend, and this is what I accomplished.<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5206938146274887730" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbkhNZRR5SWJZBR8x_zU3dzJUQ_kcPRqS_IwXJMslMDQV4lsDbnmGeYHU54a0OTKVu_Vaao04vA7g7nJoe7dbsij1tOzv_g0wUfaVhNru9mZyHzR48rhjndT33lP_MXYCY9nkrVkP2mr4/s400/Camp+Squeah+001.jpg" border="0" /> I love the Scrappin Kits by SU, there are so many things you can do with them. This is a current kit that I used for Danielle's page. I like to do a collage of pictures I love of each kid. Danielle loves to ham around and be silly, and know when to pose for the camera!<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5206938154864822354" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgm7mcMu_Ht7HuX5fROBjgMfTTyrbEc3IDiOIC4z88qctEETU6Pt2kSeyfjod3cUmNOHGWbpAE_0udWOt6r05xdy3QeW1TjeYpXpQ9rilHz1RbGmEQ_kUSxB6Ill_vF_eBBcso43lZDGoM/s400/Camp+Squeah+003.jpg" border="0" /></div><div>Madelyne's page is also using a SU kit from last catalogs hostess set.<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5206938150569855042" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6L6P_Vd3okS9MmNxJ8EM35gdzAgvVpROMaustAPbMG797EYzwdqL4h4zLKFAdZMIvTdZp3zysk_fjqbMrUK3yfjDt8sMdtoCPiUmJiTgBXWwc_D3iVSh_5K_8AwvEJwE42KKxH0bEY6U/s400/Camp+Squeah+002.jpg" border="0" /></div><br />This one is for Madee's riding lessons, in most of the pics she looks miserable but she tells me she is concentrating so she doesn't fall off. You will also notice that I didn't finish my journalling, something I end up doing often, I just don't want to state the obvious, she is riding a horse, so I wait for something more profound to say, sometimes it doesn't come and then I have to state the obvious.Carrie Dyckhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13207383565820644429noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8377562079417479609.post-11459071263156617552008-05-26T10:51:00.001-07:002008-05-26T11:22:40.303-07:00Cloverdale Rodeo<div><div>We went to the Cloverdale Rodeo during the long weekend, and we all had so much fun! Madelyne is really into the rodeo part, I think Danielle loved the rides and Riley just loved everything. Now that Riley is so much older we enjoy these events so much more because we are not worried so much about the baby's sleep and feeding schedule. Now if the kids don't get a nap it's no big deal, although Riley fell asleep just as the Rodeo started, he was sprawled out over both Steve and my lap, it got quite uncomfortable after a short while. I will have to find the picture of that and share it later. </div><div> </div><div>Madelyne is somewhat trying to decide which area she would like to take her horseback riding, whether it be jumps, lesiure, barrel racing, right now I think she would be a perfect Rodeo Princess.<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5204748387263793074" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" height="307" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOp_YdHgTmTfZhtboULUpwWAF7uT-fEQ2xCZ4moSUE95tzGnHqHYbTMTx6AvqW8lIp7eyn7U_1yP5VhwCsnUuF1DwyhxuhI7vzBTKdN9NuB9_-IF9rIiOoSuiT8eYQMrMaFTuWZjC7DrU/s400/Cloverdale+Rodeo+137.jpg" width="223" border="0" /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5204748378673858466" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 370px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 285px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" height="181" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDmGI5NXeYVeivCEk8d06X0OkMh5jWfUpce9AuOf-HgAgM6SB3zIIWwuI5Ff05SyZGCoDsNxCpqSjdLsEOg3vlWZiYue8OdV9ttImKvAPbJTIeiMa2Ak3rNv421RJb2TdIUd5VWkQF6a4/s400/Cloverdale+Rodeo+032.jpg" width="268" border="0" /></div><div></div><div>What do you think?</div><br /><div>Danielle would also make a great rodeo princess, but she would have to do it underwater because sometimes I think she would rather stay under the water when she is swimming than come up for air! </div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5204748400148694994" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcTaffTPvz4ghBvKbMddduhyphenhyphenmAgiw_RjXzfe_y5MZzKdKpvwk4GsgV41RWNMt21QOZIAEym0pi1JaTRBfUcI2qAutNqwX2Zh_q2gJjHM5wd3eUTwiETjzG9Ym9Uj4_GepRwgza7DOwcPU/s400/Danielle.jpg" border="0" /> <div></div><div>Riley decided he wanted to ride the sheep next year. I thought that I would build up my stock of birthday and thank you cards so that I could just grab and go, but I only ended up getting a few done and still I scramble to make one when I need it. These cards all are using the All Wrapped Up set from SU, as well as SU paper. I also put googlie eyes on all of them.<br /><br /><div></div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5197661969800432626" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipX2ProTqpCQjLREg0p1R8pTZF_SaOG7L1P5RPrphQFGubyzNUzyDjyE48Tu11ma7Ue-Ysf4eSEBohGYzIDhhzRVlQAp49nSWUOLn6hyphenhyphencHq62pa_x6MgyXlBrjRxEgX_jJEzksIZeDFKU/s400/Ukraine+Fundraising+021.jpg" border="0" /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5197663004887550978" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-jCmhPBHfNX_QpXeHZfjVToQUUtrY9-Gg9Il8wcTkvPkcxW6mMFVOC9GoHIGdMWPoGrccX3EZXDzSmLe0joBwnagVpzRqOHPIy0zHSeATUPq7r5XHmu9j7i5oN6XBJhyphenhyphenTObvhUjMJh0k/s400/Ukraine+Fundraising+019.jpg" border="0" /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5197663331305065490" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnPLmhhGHonyRYGrQThrLFuceXh-RHyEMkURDthDPF9smg25_nuQbG4Nkhde2Sktu_SWa7ci898C0hQa4ADINGEeRatw9aDaWCtpUAuO4HvYr_ZbYr3YUafjRt4ZLC72g_8zEEkK2Y054/s400/Ukraine+Fundraising+020.jpg" border="0" />Have a great day!!!Carrie Dyckhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13207383565820644429noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8377562079417479609.post-70647624753000732862008-05-06T07:06:00.000-07:002008-05-06T07:19:37.987-07:00Yee Haw!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNm7zj-xZcfz0X5zAObhTUz_e0eExZ3dQLHXJQf2AyCyRDlFaoG_lUWOrGo2chsdYr6nkXC0PH3nGjDR5sknbXAMFK6VbyYKJMZMYm3-pSgoBqo5DwihAunXZiLUqOj-KY-GuBCtmECXU/s1600-h/Ukraine+Fundraising+017.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5197266527627869538" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNm7zj-xZcfz0X5zAObhTUz_e0eExZ3dQLHXJQf2AyCyRDlFaoG_lUWOrGo2chsdYr6nkXC0PH3nGjDR5sknbXAMFK6VbyYKJMZMYm3-pSgoBqo5DwihAunXZiLUqOj-KY-GuBCtmECXU/s400/Ukraine+Fundraising+017.jpg" border="0" /></a> I just started using <a href="http://www.pinkcatstudio.com/">PinkCat</a> Stamps this month, I couldn't resist when I saw the Billy set, I love him as a little cowboy best of all. This care would make a great birthday card for any little boy. I colored him in using copic markers. I have to say that I love using them as much as my SU markers, maybe even a little more because they don't show lines as much. The paper is all SU, and I used crystal effects on the rope and in the middle of the circle for some dimension.<br /><p>Hope you have a great day! </p>Carrie Dyckhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13207383565820644429noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8377562079417479609.post-12211504709998799302008-05-02T07:30:00.000-07:002008-05-02T08:39:02.786-07:00Ukraine<div align="left"> I am going to the Ukraine this coming October, for 2 weeks. There are 12 of us going from our church, and we are working with <a href="http://www.hungryforlife.org/">http://www.hungryforlife.org/</a> . What am I going to do there? Well it isn't completely determined, but mostly working with orphans and widows. Handing out clothes, food, having banquets for the widows, listening and loving all of them. I am so excited because 1. this will be my first international trip besides the US. 2. I have always wanted to work with orphans, I just hate thinking of kids being abandoned, left without parents. In . You will hear more about this trip over the next 8 months.</div><div align="left"><br /></div><div align="left"> Something that we are doing is raising money so that our time there is as effective as possible. Something that I am doing is selling some of the things that I make, so keep watching my blog to see what I have for sale. 100% of the money that I earn will go towards this trip, I will not be covering my costs of making the items. If you are interested in purchasing anything that I have to offer, please leave a comment with an email address, and which item (use the item #) you would like. Shipping is included in the price as well. Here are a few bracelets that I have already made, I am selling them for $10 each.</div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHoFePyi-7hBC3OXuv47e_9WxyGUBUmE62G8GXBjm_eTzteln4zVR2ak7l8OpMzsTNIONUGdOh3NAVi8O3kaCGZzOHM5P_EVvYP5O5d5dHP5YPm-qCEyNNYDfWaplacGzq_aViUO0dqY8/s1600-h/Ukraine+Fundraising+007.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5195800642404842754" style="DISPLAY: block; So many things have happened and are happening that I would love to share.<br /><br />I don't usually scrapbook most things in order, and usually a few months later than the actual event. For example I will start with a page I did for Riley's birthday which was in December and I only scrapbooked it last weekend.<br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5195618449892146130" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 403px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 205px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" height="204" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjs4lwqiVB4514tts5Myzy2NJfiU7V5vILlLaC7IClpfH0zZS9mSlRVlkTCMQISvDEBdX7ltSIs7wKIZZK7KYpnGiC91FC-iPg03Drsp18dQN-uug05173-a-1uat_oOF-xX7ZVQKwQtA4/s400/Ukraine+Fundraising+024.jpg" width="428" border="0" /><br />Check out Jaxon on the right of Riley, his chubby cheeks are puffed up to help blow out the candle. Priceless!<br /><br /><br />Another page I did last weekend is this one;<br /><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5195619583763512290" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQhf7w-bLGe94RRrCMaeX5QCuGgizCmopjV_D5Tv6wfpkVmMfZJOdbr6-8Vw0huL_T8nxDiYAvCVh3MnrXYtUupOihgvgOpwc5c2SaqTUjbR_O-h5WRxTi2lq1UEFxAIOTwTZ_LxzFJ0k/s400/Ukraine+Fundraising+026.jpg" border="0" /><br /><br />I took this picture from our driveway in April, I think that this is the best sunset that I have seen from where we are living now. In Saskatchewan you see sunsets like this more often, but here in BC the mountains seem to get in the way.<br /><br />I'll have more to show you soon!<br /><br />CarrieCarrie Dyckhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13207383565820644429noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8377562079417479609.post-4470965675760101162007-10-20T15:45:00.000-07:002007-10-20T15:51:51.361-07:00I'm Back!I finally figured out how to log on again, it has been so long since I had posted anything and then I forgot something so it took longer. Thanks to Kerry who reminded me about my username so that I could log on, so here I go again!!!!!<br />I will try to post things I am working on regularly.<br />Riley, since the last post in June, has healed perfectly. He only had his cast on for 3 weeks, not 6-8 weeks!!! Praise the Lord! <br /><br />I have been stampin' lots lately possibly for a craft fair or two, we will see how much stuff I get done by the time they are. <br />I will also post what I have been doing with my S11 club. So keep watching!Carrie Dyckhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13207383565820644429noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8377562079417479609.post-79231717075193852862007-06-19T12:23:00.000-07:002007-06-19T12:46:03.391-07:00Broken :(<div>Here is some pictures of my broken little boy. As you can see he doesn't seem to have a problem with it. He is such a content little boy that he just dealt with the fact he can't do what he normally does. He did have rough time with it at first when we brought him home, he wanted me to put him down so he could walk. So this is thier layout, I was to late to enter, but I still wanted to make my page. <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5073410805116159874" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0kIfN0J-SFkcqCuLgfOKKSdzrGVWgqKMQCd8nwKWlNlnSVtl7q9gf9yzehLVfxG_981yvEJbWrm2nMkicGwUw40r3L0mrYaERZf2zcEd9qQAqGNvbND93fyBDzDm9tWCWu7iMDzZlWJc/s320/Rebel+Pics.jpg" border="0" /> The background cs is SU Chocolate chip and the alpha set is my favorite Whimsical Alpha, the rest of the supplies I pulled out of my stash. The flourishes are from CTMH. </div><div>I usually don't scrapbook specifically one of our pets but Dixie has been on my mind lately and I thought that I would use some pics of her when we first brought her home. I guess I will have to pull some pics together of Snoopi and Luci. </div><div> </div><div>Living in the Fraser Valley has been quite eventful lately with the flood watch happening. Fortunatly we live on the mountain but most of our friends and our shop are in the flood plain. Debbie has brought over her pics and scrapbooks for safe keeping in case it floods over the weekend. Anyone else want to bring thier scrapbook stuff over I promise to take good care of it! I'll try not to use it all up! LOL! </div><div>They say the river should not reach as high as they first expected, but I'm not convinced on their techniques of determining this. We are prepared for power and gas outages and to have company if needed! </div><div>Anyways off to clean!</div><div>Happy Scrappin'</div><div>Carrie</div>Carrie Dyckhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13207383565820644429noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8377562079417479609.post-3591830707120301322007-06-05T12:18:00.000-07:002007-06-05T12:33:41.391-07:00Three<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNwFm79GTnzDkr9yha2QiN1JdYzeCZBeHbZrxuilLJgTnASd67azQdr4qPr638Igbt77ZltAu-X23dFT0mXSOvlXxh6q-9H2PgghCDDtbALy-w3GpKWXoYvFhAVYKP7uulO5G6IqC4Eh8/s1600-h/April+2007+007.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5072663850173843298" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNwFm79GTnzDkr9yha2QiN1JdYzeCZBeHbZrxuilLJgTnASd67azQdr4qPr638Igbt77ZltAu-X23dFT0mXSOvlXxh6q-9H2PgghCDDtbALy-w3GpKWXoYvFhAVYKP7uulO5G6IqC4Eh8/s320/April+2007+007.jpg" border="0" /></a>Here is a page I did for the same family album as my last post. This one is of my adorable children, this will be a two page spread but I have not figured out how I am going to do the second page. I used all SU patterned paper from Playhouse. The chipboard is misc from MM and SU. (I love chipboard!!!)<br /><p> I found the layout in a magazine, of course now that I want to find which mag it was I can't find it. I love the little saying that I also got from the magazine (I will have to edit this when I find it!) </p><p>Three beautiful children to adore...</p><p>Three beautiful souls to guide...</p><p>Three beautiful reasons to smile each day.</p><p>My three children can be a handful sometimes, but there isn't a moment that I don't feel blessed by them.</p><p>Today I go and pick up Dixie from the pet hostpital, yes she has been there for a whole week, but now she is well enough to come home! Yah! We have missed her so much, so has Snoopi. </p><p>Have a great day!</p><p>Carrie</p>Carrie Dyckhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13207383565820644429noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8377562079417479609.post-91300920272248692482007-06-02T07:31:00.000-07:002007-06-02T07:39:49.927-07:00Family<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLKNVbNRex6ZS-C0E36X2XbxQlofIxS8GB2PVf90LZo4BooxCWDRUB-pTELlwLt2JWRz6rz5oNhPUlYh1TwYyqHNJoUA3uBatdnWr-GvD0R0_YnvwuwiRIUJNb3nE3UyMfY0UpI94KhwE/s1600-h/April+2007+006.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5071475239842183762" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLKNVbNRex6ZS-C0E36X2XbxQlofIxS8GB2PVf90LZo4BooxCWDRUB-pTELlwLt2JWRz6rz5oNhPUlYh1TwYyqHNJoUA3uBatdnWr-GvD0R0_YnvwuwiRIUJNb3nE3UyMfY0UpI94KhwE/s320/April+2007+006.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div>This is a layout of our family to start an album for our family pictures taken 2 summers ago (I'm really up to date aren't I) I used the AT HOME Simply Scrappin Kit for the word Family and the patterned paper! I had 2 going, one for cards and one for scrapbooking. Last nite was our scrapbooking club. These are the 6x6 layouts that we did. Normally we only do 2 pages, usually not a double layout like the camping one, but this time I wanted to do a double layout as well as a single (to finish of our book!).<br />The camping layout is using Happy Camper as well as tidy alpha (I <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUSYi72nFcuC7zh6flsaozt1b-WD73VQe3cqGH62aFn9PT6dZrsnZFMOqJLiRYPgi55MnZqm9MEIsisfxJklVH2yaalce1JPyIU2eGbIVzJSCiR_ZjET04b-GnzrnMPEqtQp5jdwnUdSc/s1600-h/April+2007+015.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5071198747027536418" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 391px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 194px" height="169" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUSYi72nFcuC7zh6flsaozt1b-WD73VQe3cqGH62aFn9PT6dZrsnZFMOqJLiRYPgi55MnZqm9MEIsisfxJklVH2yaalce1JPyIU2eGbIVzJSCiR_ZjET04b-GnzrnMPEqtQp5jdwnUdSc/s320/April+2007+015.jpg" width="452" border="0" /></a>forgot it was retired, but they didn't mind)<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyfwanB32VgzabUeM1yIGdxEtpVLqRDx-c8DvG6ZxM4LZ1Zf4HjaWTAvZFAYRAs_AVtl_wMHSywVrQYsz9GAFg7UfsP6zqcJ7UzMzdg-SdxF5Tvb-RnkmFd4vm_dm-c2V1OHobm_da-BI/s1600-h/April+2007+016.jpg"></a>. We also used the jumbo wheel Nature Hike. We heat embossed the bear with Chocolate Chip Craft ink and clear embossing powder. It is a pretty simple project, somehow I managed to line up the wheel punch on both pages, I wheeled them separately but they still lined up! I sometimes impress myself.<br /><br /><br /><p>The second layout I got from<a href="http://cis-stylish-sketches.blogspot.com/">http://cis-stylish-sketches.blogspot.com/</a> This is a great site for sketches! They were using it for a 12x12, but I adapted it and made it into a 6x6 <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBtaMFkzWjYCI9JwAOGiwduR2aQlz3K1eY2Z4o9JnLAZfyov89xXj-fjM4w2VNxmbbg2OxUxKfNUc0VrjU1528s94kKCtw_Go7MLQX7kE9xVGk69GfQfuJpX-TJHxp3wRwimENPdTzfbs/s1600-h/April+2007+016.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5071199868014000706" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBtaMFkzWjYCI9JwAOGiwduR2aQlz3K1eY2Z4o9JnLAZfyov89xXj-fjM4w2VNxmbbg2OxUxKfNUc0VrjU1528s94kKCtw_Go7MLQX7kE9xVGk69GfQfuJpX-TJHxp3wRwimENPdTzfbs/s320/April+2007+016.jpg" border="0" /></a>page. We cut out the flower and put it through my Xyron machine then put Dazzling Diamonds on it then curled it under to give it some dimension. There are so many ideas out there that you don't think on your own, that is what is nice about blogs and idea sites like SCS, you can get simple yet beautiful ideas on how to use what you have on hand! </p><br /><p>Next year for my club, I think that I will do a card, 3D item, and a 6x6 scrap page (for the gals from my scrap club this year!) I think that I will only have one club rather than 2 and try to do more classes and get people using what they have purchased!</p><br /><p>Update on my baby Dixie (german shepard pup) She is still in hostpital, but I saw her today and she looks like a different dog from when I saw her last. She was bouncing around, chasing the vet's cat, where last time she barely got up, her eyes were sunken in, and she looked so sad. She has to stay in the hostpital one more nite (crossing my fingers), all of this from eating something wrong, I have no idea what it is even, nothing looks that disturbed in our yard, and we don't have poisons here because of the kids. Could have been a stick or something Luci (the cat) dragged home! Anyways, she is on the mend! </p><p>Have a great day!</p><p>Happy Scrappin</p><p>Carrie</p>Carrie Dyckhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13207383565820644429noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8377562079417479609.post-21635499723049874242007-05-29T19:04:00.000-07:002007-05-29T19:13:56.228-07:00Baby Girl<div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCEIDuovuBLHGP_BdWWvvaWcMCR9lOegPMOItLNO8-mYWPrZ8whAp6H-BOePHaJ7Sb1eZ1DOSOKI73TZHlodUPw0HsT-k7ttsdPwRTFVF4GfKyNFpjwl3SHCHax1X5vVq1aOKzt1gJ6Ic/s1600-h/April+2007+014.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5070169260546554370" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCEIDuovuBLHGP_BdWWvvaWcMCR9lOegPMOItLNO8-mYWPrZ8whAp6H-BOePHaJ7Sb1eZ1DOSOKI73TZHlodUPw0HsT-k7ttsdPwRTFVF4GfKyNFpjwl3SHCHax1X5vVq1aOKzt1gJ6Ic/s320/April+2007+014.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div>Here is my baby girl card, I used all of the same punches as the baby boy minus the duck punch. But today Dixie was lethargic and wouldn't move when called, when usually she would bound over to say hi! I really mean bound, she is a german <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHDvJHzkj7ttk5eQ5rRsmLdJD0gdRCNu3Nw_mBuz_06k_VhvsZiUROG6gaoFT7lK3mEzJUA99XUVxcnN-mvT89HLX3JkQ98c5myzPOCgnS2cl12X7Xs4c1kr5rAnsVF-bdeGhsvUeedXA/s1600-h/April+2007+137.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5070170832504584722" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHDvJHzkj7ttk5eQ5rRsmLdJD0gdRCNu3Nw_mBuz_06k_VhvsZiUROG6gaoFT7lK3mEzJUA99XUVxcnN-mvT89HLX3JkQ98c5myzPOCgnS2cl12X7Xs4c1kr5rAnsVF-bdeGhsvUeedXA/s320/April+2007+137.jpg" border="0" /></a>shepard, and a real sweetie. Today is no different although the start of my week begins with my younger two being sick. Doesn't Riley look so sweet, he has been sleeping all morning on the couch while Danielle watches tv.<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5069681640024537554" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7nshW6NwEHzeIO-j4j2RePGHdmfF499pso-T4Vh20a-9EmWRMScZ8SJqXdyigADh_biq0MLIwII5CtOC3947QcLQAYuJF_cPGr98LNrf-Ylkp8rk_jQSa3kPl_gzIM_QfFDjbA187yOc/s320/April+2007+010.jpg" border="0" /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5069681652909439458" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjM8VoScg1Q2Rd1EFzOuHALi3xVuznYQR5j4hrJ9a4cDfY4sR2zz5nIEEIPycKYMUB-djRbngO0xoJ8uOdw36vtsFkFJvZfoU68RvA2kuB5wVcvOcRZNPbg3Un5qCyYwusl9hFCDD89UeU/s320/April+2007+011.jpg" border="0" /><br /><br />So I won't be leaving the house today to say the least. I did have a VBS meeting that I will have to cancel now as well. Oh well hopefully I can get all of my cleaning done today and do the rest during the week.<br /><br /><br /><br />Last nite I made my thank you cards for my Stamp club ladies and as I was doing that I noticed that my scalloped circle that I had sitting there with another hole in it looked just like a bib. So I thought I would make a card using punches only. So here it is.<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5069682597802244594" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWtkr3ibw_2AAJ5s92vDRCsPCN_CladxLEdQocPDHea0pjxJ3JSbdnVJ7bz8Pd_v-rHNNBJ9wcOSMHjoPdIAzyUM-CvV1pDG73CHfCifkcJyCJMQTGEaX0uxuS5bWLnhaQBOZn7Eb46AU/s320/April+2007+005.jpg" border="0" /><br /><br />I used the 3" scalloped circle, and the 2.5" circle punch for the face and bib. Then I used the 3/4" punch and the 1/2" circle punches for the soother. 1/4" circle punch for the eyes. The 1/2" circle punch was also used for the ears. The hair was a tuft of grass from paper shapers. The duck I believe is paper shapers as well. Other than the patterened paper all cardstock is SU. I sponged some color with chalks for the cheeks and shading around the face. Isn't he sweet. Watch out for the baby girl, I will post her tommorrow!<br /><br />Happy Scrappin,<br />CarrieCarrie Dyckhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13207383565820644429noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8377562079417479609.post-69394713502985685902007-05-26T08:33:00.000-07:002007-05-27T08:06:20.294-07:00Inventory of StampsI decorated this SU art journal so that I could keep track of which stamp sets that I have. So that when I am scrapbooking I can just look through it <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjQwrmb0T-A2_Nflx_YO8tJb4R2ky3KHdsLd12N91OLNb62zUMhTADbNdZANXsMHM4omwmH7NmvOQa0n-C5Lgpi91ZBBKnqeMHijuLpUcR6DTm_ckKdNdTsf6FacWiUpAa2mnUo2ldpiQ/s1600-h/April+2007+002.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5068920339891452354" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjQwrmb0T-A2_Nflx_YO8tJb4R2ky3KHdsLd12N91OLNb62zUMhTADbNdZANXsMHM4omwmH7NmvOQa0n-C5Lgpi91ZBBKnqeMHijuLpUcR6DTm_ckKdNdTsf6FacWiUpAa2mnUo2ldpiQ/s320/April+2007+002.jpg" border="0" /></a>to see if I have anything that would work on my pages, rather than going through each package. How does everyone else keep track of their sets? I would love to hear some new ideas.<br /><br /><br /><br />I used all SU products except the scalloped punch and the circle punch. Doodle this is one of my favorite stamp sets right now.<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjA1qpPPFECaAw5fSy1SCWt019tPEbP01HJrhaekqOExB7JXJ0T2xJ3IjNzvP_AgMyGWtlyQdxoDm-kQ-kG1CVJ6PznEp-7AhL232W6P9HtcLvWF2ujsdicHhTfIeIvowA9X1OC7zUeTC8/s1600-h/April+2007+003.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5068902086280444338" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjA1qpPPFECaAw5fSy1SCWt019tPEbP01HJrhaekqOExB7JXJ0T2xJ3IjNzvP_AgMyGWtlyQdxoDm-kQ-kG1CVJ6PznEp-7AhL232W6P9HtcLvWF2ujsdicHhTfIeIvowA9X1OC7zUeTC8/s320/April+2007+003.jpg" border="0" /></a> I still have lots of sets to put into my book, I have gotten all of my flower sets into it.<br /><br /><br /><br /><br />Our house is located on the mountain, just above a popular walking trail. As I was preparing this post I heard sirens, and they started coming up our driveway and stopped at the entrance of the trail. We have had various things happen at the trail, such as stolen vehicles dropped off there, once they even torched a truck, just after I left to run some errands (I saw them there and thought nothing of it) When I came back home a policeman was there and the truck was torched. I could give a description of the getaway vehicle (I guess that was what the other vehicle was doing there) I wish I would have taken a plate # down. Anyways, today an elderly gentleman with altzeimers went for a walk or something and fell down a short embankment. He slept there all night when finally someone's dogs had found him, so the owner of the dogs called 911. He's okay, maybe a sprained ankle or something, I couldn't imagine sleeping outside all nite in the woods wondering if anyone will find me. There has been cougar tracks spotted in our area too, I think that I would go crazy in fear.<br /><br />I guess I should try to get something done this morning. Have a great day!<br />CarrieCarrie Dyckhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13207383565820644429noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8377562079417479609.post-69407280927173571622007-05-25T16:53:00.001-07:002007-05-25T17:06:20.671-07:00Smiley Riley<div>These are scrapbook pages that I did at a M.O.M.S scrap and craft this month. I love the colors of the spring mini DS paper Petals and Paisleys. I colored in the fish with SU markers to match the patterned paper. I can't wait until I can give this card away.
